Bikefit studio
evaluates +200 biomechanical parameters
If you already have a bike and are looking to improve your performance and avoid injuries, it is advisable to undergo a Bikefit biomechanical study.
Although there are approximate methods to determine saddle positioning, your position on the bike cannot be generalized based on inseam length or standard joint angles. In reality, the correct position depends on many other factors that must be taken into account: arm and back dimensions, flexibility and joint mobility, previous injuries, bike geometry, and sporting goals…
At UMANA, using uBike technology, we perform the only biomechanical bikefit study that considers more than 200 personalized biomechanical parameters to bring you to your optimal position.
in +12 million positions
uBike technology calculates your 3D movement across more than 12 million pedaling positions, decoding the performance and risks of each one.
It is not just about understanding how you move, but about knowing the levels of power and aerodynamics provided by each position, as well as the joint and muscular stress it generates. Only in this way can we discard positions that do not offer good performance and those that may lead to injury.
This allows us to define the valid position window (Fit-Window) for your saddle, handlebar, cranks, and cleats, and to identify the optimal position (Fit-Point) that best matches your injury profile, flexibility, and sporting goals: distance and duration, gradients and altitude, types of surface…
with +40 adjustment parameters
uBike technology allows us to precisely define your optimal position on the bike (Fit-Point) by calculating more than 40 adjustment parameters for the saddle, handlebar, cranks, and cleats.
This Fit-Point meets the aerodynamic and power output demands of your goals while also respecting your injury profile. In this way, we can provide you with a general Fit-Point (for all your rides) or a specific Fit-Point tailored to each of your competitions.
At the end of the biomechanical study in our laboratory, you will leave with your bike fully configured. If any component needs to be changed to improve your position, we will specify the exact characteristics so you can purchase it without error.
on legs, neck and back
High-performance positions are generally the most aggressive from a postural standpoint. To address this, uBike technology identifies the vulnerable points in your biomechanics and designs personalized specific training routines.
In this way, you can improve the flexibility and endurance of the main muscle groups involved in pedaling, allowing you to maintain aggressive positions comfortably over longer periods of time.
In addition, if any biomechanical deviations or dysfunctions are detected in the anthropometric and mobility tests, uBike will organize specific compensation and muscle stabilization programs to correct them. The goal is always to reduce discomfort and prevent future injuries.
fit-window & fit-point
Finally, we will provide you with a detailed report containing all the results of the biomechanical study carried out on your bike.
This report includes the Fit-Window, the Fit-Point, and the prescribed specific training program. In addition, you will find the biomechanical chart of the adjustments made to your bike. This chart shows the % of comfort in the legs, pelvis-back, and neck-arms separately, as well as the % improvement in power output and aerodynamics.
In this way, you will be able to understand the improvements achieved through the study. And if you are familiar with bike mechanics, you will find precise instructions to make adjustments on your own whenever needed.
"Therefore, the distance between the saddle, bottom bracket, and handlebars varies depending on the bike model."
"For example, your ideal fit changes if your discomfort is in your neck or knee."
"Your fitness level for flat terrain is not the same as if you also do mountain biking."
"They also affect the length of the foot, leg, thigh, back, arms..."
